It is with deep regret that I have to inform you that Stuart Stevenson has not been nominated for the FIFA List for 2019.
Stuart has been on the FIFA list for 7 years and has officiated in 67 matches to date covering a host of competitions including the Champions League, Europa League, World Cup Qualifiers and European Championship Qualifiers.
His final appointment comes next week where he will be 4th Official in either the Champions League or Europa League - the fixture is to be confirmed.
Stuart has been an exemplary ambassador for the Association and the SFA across all his International Appointments and has become easily our most decorated FIFA Assistant Referee.
From the long list of appointments I picked out some notable club grounds he officiated at such as Barcelona, Athletico Madrid, Juventus, Bayern Munich, Lazio, PSV Eindhoven, Inter Milan and in International appointments at Russia, Portugal, Norway, Sweden, Belgium to name but a few.
Stuart will continue to be a Specialist Assistant Referee in Scotland officiating at the highest level but sadly next weeks appointment in Europe will bring his FIFA career to a close.
Please join me in not only thanking Stuart for his service but to congratulate him on a fantastic FIFA career.
