SCORE 2019

09 Apr 2019

Dear Member(s)

The following is a message from John Fleming, Head of Referee Operations: -

"Following the success of previous SCORE courses, I am pleased to advise that it is my intention to continue with the project and seek applicants for those interested in participating in SCORE 19.

SCORE has helped identify and develop talented referees and assistant referees through intensive coaching, observation and training. It has provided the referees with opportunities to obtain one to one coaching and training from experienced coaches. Aside from the refereeing benefits, it has also exposed the officials to a number of academic topics which has helped them manage and deliver their matches successfully.

If you are interested in applying for SCORE 19, I would encourage you to speak to the previous & current SCORE officials to hear the benefits that they have obtained.

As the SCORE 17 referees will end their two year course in June 2019 it is my intention to select 9 participants for SCORE 19. The SCORE 19 candidates may consist of both Referees and Assistant Referees.

If you are interested in applying, please download the application form in the SCORE folder in the Library and return it no later than 26th April. Applications should be e-mailed to referee@scottishfa.co.uk

Prior to submitting your application form, please inform your Association Manager of your intention to apply for SCORE 19.

A synopsis of the Course is also contained within SCORE folder in the Library for your information."

If you are interested in applying for the SCORE 2019 programme can you please contact me direct to discuss prior to submitting any application.

Kind Regards

Neil Watters - Association Manager
